 Suggestion for GG
First, the update is pretty great!
My only suggestion would be reducing the spawn protection time. On some of the smaller maps (eg halo_gold) it's really frustrating to come across enemies still invulnerable, who are almost on the other side of the map than their spawn.
I'm not sure what specs the server has, but perhaps it could handle the setting where spawn protection is removed once they have moved/shot? If it can't handle this setting, (or you have switched GG mods to one that doesn't have it), could you at least reduce the time?
One other thing I just thought of- I am assuming this isn't possible though as it is a GG feature- it used to pop up a nice wee dialogue when you spawn, showing your level, number of kills for this weapon, and leader level. Is it possible to bring this back? Now it just says "You are on level 26 (knife)" in with the rest of the text, which makes it pretty hard to keep track of what's what, as it usually only very briefly appears before it is bumped off by "Someone attacked a team mate."
Is the server running a different GG mod since the CSS update? or is this just an update to the mod previously used?

I think the re-spawn protection time is very essential to make the game more "fair". What I mean is that people can't just run all the way to the enemy's spawn and start to shoot hoping he/she will kill every enemy like a terminator. That is just NOT the case. Having said that, I am big fan of spawn kill myself  , but if the change has been made. We'll all have to live with it. Because Ape is RIGHT BEHIND YOU! For the dialogue you are referring to, I don't think that is a big deal. I mean if you can persuade Ape write some codes or inject a script, it will be sweet as, chances are you will fail. Because he is extremely busy! Lastly, I have a strong feeling that the MOD is an updated version, and not a different one. Only question is did he use the update that I provided. Peace!

Well yes obviously spawn protection is necesary, I was just noting that it seems to be on for to long at the moment. In very small maps like fy_halo_gold, or simpsons_street (not so small but spawns are very visible) it sucks having protected players running half way across the map before their protection runs out.. I'm not asking him to write code, simply wondering whether there is a setting to enable that will turn this feature on... I was wondering because instead of saying "this server is running gungame 5" it says something like "this server is running 4AM gungame" (not sure if it is "4am" or something else, I can't quite make it out Peace back at ya! (unless we are on ACS CSS #1 then its ON!)

From what I can remember, the update to Source pretty much meant the mod Ape had on GG was totally trashed. He spent ages pissing around getting some other basic mod to work. I have talked to him about the length of the spawn protection, and he did agree that it was a bit long, and especially noticed on the really small maps (I had such a blast on them the other night, I was WAAAY drunk and as soon as I had spawned, I was off in a random direction, weapon already firing. Epic  ) Re the dialogue-at-spawn, I think the current mod can't support it like the old one used to - I'm only guessing at this, it could be on Ape's to-do list. When I get the chance I'll ask. But I reckon for now, just enjoy the carnage

Oh, I see. Sweet Yep definitely! One step ahead of ya there :p edit: The one other thing I noticed is there is a penalty for suicide now, whereas before the update there wasn't- not sure if this is intentional or just a forgotten setting from before. Its a wee bit annoying on imp_war, but I guess it teaches people like me to watch where we are running....

Loving the updates, thanks whoever did that (dirtyape?)
Spawn time is great and the little info box is so much better than what it was!
